How do I calculate the volume of a concrete slab?
Multiply length by width by thickness, all in the same unit. For example, 4 m × 3 m × 0.1 m is 1.2 m³. The calculator converts thickness from centimeters or inches for you.
Enter the slab length, width and thickness. The calculator returns the concrete volume, the number of bags of dry mix and the estimated cost, with a reserve for spillage.

One cubic meter needs roughly 80 bags of 25 kg dry mix (or 40 bags of 50 kg). One cubic yard needs roughly 45 bags of 80 lb mix.
A garden path or patio is usually 7–10 cm thick, a garage floor 10–15 cm. Heavy loads need a thicker slab with reinforcement.
Order 5–10% more than the calculated volume to cover uneven ground, spillage and formwork that is not perfectly level. Running short mid-pour leaves a weak cold joint.
